Ceramic coating

How much does ceramic coating cost in Venice, FL?

Our Ceramic Coating package (3-year coating with a 1–2 step polish) starts at $999. The Full Ceramic Package (5-year coating with paint polishing, a full interior detail, an engine bay detail and wheels-off coating) starts at $1,499. Add full-vehicle window tint and save 10% on the combined price. Final price depends on vehicle size and paint condition.

Is ceramic coating worth it in Florida?

For most daily drivers, yes. Year-round UV, salt air, lovebugs and sprinkler or well-water spots are exactly what a coating helps defend against, and a coated car is much faster to wash.

How long does ceramic coating last?

We offer a 3-year coating and a 5-year coating. How long it actually holds up depends on how the car is washed and stored. Florida sun and automatic brush washes shorten the life of any coating, so we go over aftercare at pickup.

Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?

Yes, and it's included. A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, swirls included, so the Ceramic Coating package includes a 1–2 step polish and the Full Ceramic Package includes paint polishing. Heavily oxidized paint may need more; see paint correction.

Is ceramic coating scratch-proof? How is it different from PPF?

No coating is scratch-proof. Ceramic adds a hard, slick, glossy layer that resists light marring, UV and chemical etching, but it won't stop rock chips. That's the job of paint protection film. Many owners put PPF on the front end and ceramic over everything.

Ceramic coating vs wax: what's the difference?

Wax sits on top of the paint and wears off in weeks in Florida heat. A ceramic coating bonds to the clear coat and lasts years, with stronger UV and chemical resistance and much easier washing.

How long does the ceramic coating process take, and when can I wash my car?

The car stays with us while it's washed, decontaminated, polished, coated and cured indoors. We'll give you a timeline with your quote, and at pickup we'll tell you when the first wash is safe.

What wash methods and soaps are safe on a coated car?

Hand wash with a pH-neutral car shampoo and clean microfiber, rinse well, and dry with a soft towel or blower. Skip brush-style automatic washes and harsh degreasers.

Do you do ceramic coating for Sarasota, North Port and Englewood drivers?

Yes. Coatings are applied in our Venice shop (Bays 95 & 96, 257 Seaboard Ave, Venice FL 34285), and drivers come in from Sarasota, North Port, Englewood and Nokomis and Osprey. We're open Saturdays, 9am–2pm or by appointment.

Can I get ceramic coating and window tint at the same visit?

Yes, and you'll save 10%. Any ceramic package plus full-vehicle ceramic window tint is 10% off the combined price.

Window tint

How much does window tint cost?

Full ceramic tint (every side window plus the rear glass) starts at $399 for coupes, $449 for sedans and $499 for SUVs and trucks. Front two windows are $249, or $320 with a windshield strip. A windshield strip on its own is $100, a sunroof is $75 and windshield film is $199–$300. Add a ceramic coating and save 10%.

What tint percentage is legal in Florida?

Front side windows must let in at least 28% of light. Rear side windows and the back glass can go to 15% on cars, or 6% on SUVs, trucks and vans. See the Florida tint law guide.

Can you tint the windshield in Florida?

Florida allows non-reflective film on the windshield only above the AS-1 line, the strip along the top ($100). Full-windshield film isn't covered by that rule, so ask us what applies to your vehicle before you get a quote.

Is ceramic tint worth the extra money over regular tint?

If heat is your main complaint, usually yes. Ceramic film is built to reject infrared heat, so even a lighter, legal shade keeps the cabin noticeably cooler than a basic dyed film at the same darkness.

When can I roll my windows down, and when can I wash the car?

Film needs a few days to cure. We'll give you exact timing at pickup: leave the windows up and skip washing the inside of the glass until then. Washing the outside of the car is fine.

Will tint affect my visibility at night?

Any tint cuts some light. Legal shades on the front side windows (28% or lighter) keep night visibility reasonable for most drivers. If you drive a lot at night, we'll show you lighter ceramic options that still block heat.

Can you tint my sunroof or panoramic roof?

Yes. A standard sunroof is $75. Panoramic roofs are quoted by size.

I have bubbling or purple tint from another shop. Can you remove it?

Yes. We remove the old film and the adhesive, clean the glass and re-tint. Removal is quoted per vehicle; text us a photo for a quick number.

Is the rear window done in one piece?

On most cars, yes: the rear glass film is heat-shrunk to the curve of the window and installed as one piece. A few vehicles with split or unusual rear glass need more than one.

Do you tint in Nokomis, Osprey, North Port and Englewood?

Yes. All car tint is done indoors in our Venice shop (Bays 95 & 96, 257 Seaboard Ave, Venice FL 34285), and we see drivers from Nokomis and Osprey, North Port, Englewood and Sarasota. Open Saturdays, 9am–2pm or by appointment.

Home & business window film

How much does window film cost per square foot?

Film starts at $8 per square foot installed, or $10 per square foot when old film has to be removed first. We measure every pane and give you a written quote.

Will window film lower my cooling bill?

It reduces heat gain through the glass, which takes load off the AC. We won't promise a percentage: any savings figure would have to come from the film maker's published data for the exact film, and it depends on your glass, orientation and shade.

Does window film block UV fading of floors and furniture?

Film blocks most UV, a major cause of fading, so it slows fading a lot. Nothing stops fading completely, because visible light and heat play a part too.

Can you remove old, failing film?

Yes. Bubbling, peeling or purple film and its adhesive come off, the glass is cleaned, and new film goes on. That's the $10 per square foot option.

Is security film the same as impact or hurricane glass?

No. Security film helps hold broken glass together and slows a smash-and-grab, but it is not a substitute for impact-rated glass or shutters and it does not make a window hurricane-rated.

Do you install home window film outside Venice?

Yes. Home film is installed on site at homes and condos across Sarasota County: Venice, South Venice, Nokomis, Laurel and Osprey, North Port, Englewood and Sarasota.

How do I get a quote?

Text photos of the windows and rough sizes (width × height) to (941) 929-6771, or use the quote form. For bigger jobs we come out and measure.

Do condos or HOAs need approval?

Many associations have rules on reflective or dark film, so check with yours before you book an install date. We can provide film samples and spec sheets for an approval request.
