The honest version
What window film actually does (and doesn't)
It does
- Cut solar heat and glare through the glass
- Block most UV, slowing fading
- Add daytime privacy (reflective) or full privacy (frosted)
- Hold broken glass together better (security film)
It doesn't
- Make a window hurricane- or impact-rated
- Give one-way privacy at night: with lights on inside, people can see in
- Stop fading completely
- Come with savings we can't back up: no made-up percentages
Who it's for

Solar control & reflective
Reduce heat gain and hot spots near west- and south-facing glass. Reflective (mirrored) film adds daytime privacy and a uniform look. See a job →
Glare
Make screens readable and workstations comfortable.
Privacy & decorative
Frosted, patterned and logo films for conference rooms and entries.
Safety & security
Film that helps hold broken glass in place. Not a replacement for impact glass.
Anti-graffiti
A sacrificial layer that protects storefront glass from scratching and tagging.
Fleet glass too
Company vans and trucks can be tinted in our shop. Fleet →

Featured project 1 · standard film
Restaurant glass refresh
A local quick-service restaurant (McDonald's): old film stripped and new film installed on the drive-thru window and entrance doors.

The job
- Old film removed. The failing film and its adhesive came off first, then the glass was cleaned. That is our $10/sq ft install + removal option.
- New film installed on the drive-thru window and the entrance doors.
Shown as an example of our work. This is not an endorsement by McDonald's or the franchise owner. Franchise contact details on the decals are blurred.

Featured project 2 · reflective film
Reflective solar film for a restaurant
Reflective solar film for a local quick-service restaurant (McDonald's): a mirrored look from the parking lot, a clear view from the dining room.

The job
- Reflective solar-control film on the dining-room windows along the storefront.
- Outside: a uniform mirrored finish that cuts heat and glare and adds daytime privacy.
- Inside: guests still see out clearly (see the interior shots below).
Shown as an example of our work, not an endorsement by McDonald's or the franchise owner. Plates, bystanders and decal contact details are blurred. Reflective film looks less mirrored at night when interior lights are on.

FAQ
Common questions
How much does window film cost per square foot?
Film starts at $8 per square foot installed, or $10 per square foot when old film has to be removed first. We measure every pane and give you a written quote.
Will window film lower my cooling bill?
It reduces heat gain through the glass, which takes load off the AC. We won't promise a percentage: any savings figure would have to come from the film maker's published data for the exact film, and it depends on your glass, orientation and shade.
Does window film block UV fading of merchandise and furniture?
Film blocks most UV, a major cause of fading, so it slows fading a lot. Nothing stops fading completely, because visible light and heat play a part too.
Can you remove old, failing film?
Yes. Bubbling, peeling or purple film and its adhesive come off, the glass is cleaned, and new film goes on. That's the $10 per square foot option.
Is security film the same as impact or hurricane glass?
No. Security film helps hold broken glass together and slows a smash-and-grab, but it is not a substitute for impact-rated glass or shutters and it does not make a window hurricane-rated.
Do you serve offices and storefronts in Venice, North Port and Sarasota?
Yes. We install on site at businesses across Sarasota County, including Venice, North Port, Sarasota, Englewood and Nokomis, and we can work around your business hours.
How do I get a quote?
Text photos of the windows and rough sizes (width × height) to (941) 929-6771, or use the quote form. For bigger jobs we come out and measure.
Do landlords or property managers need to approve film?
Often, yes, especially in leased space. Check your lease or with the property manager first. We can provide film samples and spec sheets for the approval request.
